(More customer reviews)Same as first post. Will not hold a charge. Unfortunately I bought mine the day before HP's review or I would not have purchased in the first place. These must be old inventory with expired batteries. After charging all night you can hear the motor slow down in seconds. I don't need an LCD battery meter to tell me this is no good. I would avoid this one - sounds like this is not a coincidence.
UPDATE 1/28/2011:
I received a replacement shaver from DiscountsJungle. They were cooperative and prompt. Unfortunately the replacement unit is worse than the first - in more ways than one. The battery in the replacement has even less capacity, but at least the first shaver was clean. This second shaver looks grubby! It still has someone esle's whiskers in it! G R O S S !!!!
I asked, and was assured by a DiscountsJungle customer service agent, that these were refurbished by Remington during my conversation with her before they shipped me the replacement. Perhaps she was told that they were.
So I called Remington after receiving this filthy specimen and they assured me that they do not refurbish these shavers. These shavers arrive in what looks like new, bullet-proof, heat sealed, heavy duty clear plastic blister packaging, with a label that says "Refurbished to Original Specifications" so you assume they are from a factory. This is not the case.
I am not only writing this review update to warn potential buyers but also because I have been buying Remington shavers all my life and I know they would not put out a product in this condition.
I have a feeling that this item will be listed as "no longer available" before the next update. I have suggested in an email to DiscountsJungle that they pull this product before they cause inconvenience to other customers.
This is not a review about the merchant, but about the product. I do not believe this is DiscountsJungle's fault, but I do believe their customer service department should take a customer's concerns more seriously and check the authenticity of these units. It would be great if they could post a reponse about their findings.
