To my surprise, in looking at the image here I saw that it too is missing the same little piece. Now I've come to realize that all I need to do is spin the three point black retainer clockwise to lock it. Hence, the little piece that's lost is not needed.

(More customer reviews)I am in LOVE with this product! I got so tired of shaving EVERY DAY in the summer time just so I can wear shorts, capri's, or a dress. The first use was VERY painful. For me, it was worth it. I just used it for the third time, and it seems to be less painful with each use. If you go very slowly, and run the epilator over the same spot a few times, you basically get every hair -- and I only paid a little over $100 for this item. I tried waxing, but the hair breakage I was left with made the experience a total waste of money and time. I paid $150 for a full leg wax and bikini wax last year before I went on vacation, and still ended up shaving the whole vacation just so I could wear a bathing suit every day. I'm not brave enough to use this on my underarms yet. The best advice I can give is to use this in the late afternoon when you're not going to leave your house -- you are left with tiny red spots where the hair gets pulled out, but this is gone by morning. By the third use, the red spots almost had disappeared before bedtime. I hope you find this review helpful.

When I found the Panasonic ES2025V model, I was looking for quality and price. Assuming that epilator performance had reached an industry-wide level of efficiency and precision, I settled on the Panasonic model.
This epilator's performance is marginal when compared to the one I previously owned. The quirky jiggly head decreases precision. It misses the short fine hairs and picks up the thicker hairs.
The manual states that more efficiency can be achieved by removing the guard. I did. Yes, it improved the performance, but not to an acceptable level.
I prepared my skin by exfoliating and washing; then, drying. I held the skin taught. Still, performance was comparatively poor.
I will replace this item with one made by the company that manufactures the one I retired to the back of the cabinet. It still has one set of discs that work -- and it's still better than the new ES2025V model.

(More customer reviews)I waited almost a month to see how this shaver would measure up. It does most of what it claims to do and really gives a close and comfortable shave. Also, the replacement heads and screens are relatively inexpensive.
What stopped me from giving this shaver 5 stars are:
1. Only 40 minutes between charging and that 40 is greatly diminshed when using the trimer and/or the turbo function. In fact, onn turbo (which gives an even better shave)I wen through "40 minutes of charge time" in one 5 minute shave.
On the other hand, it rinses in water so you don't have to spend money for those expensive cleaning cartridges.
Overall good value for the money.This shaver competes with the best Braun and Panasonic have to offer.
