(More customer reviews)The Norelco Arcitec 1060X doesn't shave very closely. Even after three or four passes over your face, you won't come close to a shave with a regular razor. It doesn't cut the fine hairs on my face at all. The trimmer is located so close to the shaving heads that you can't use it. You have to lift each of the three heads to clean the razor, then push all three heads down again. The razor makes a lot of noise while on. I paid premium dollars for this razor, and although it looks very stylish, it performs so poorly that it's the worst electronic purchase I've ever made. Buy any razor but this one.

(More customer reviews)This was a gift to replace my old Panasonic ER411 nose hair trimmer that stopped working. I found the rotary head to be almost totally ineffective at cutting nose hairs. The linear head intended for ears and eyebrows wasn't much better. The only saving grace is the feature that it can be cleaned by running under cold or warm running water (as is the case with my surprisingly good Panasonic wet/dry face shaver). In disgust I sprayed aerosol electric shaver cleaner on the old unit and to my delight the Panasonic started working again. If you want to clip nose hairs under water buy this :-); otherwise get a Panasonic ER411 if they still are available.
For many years I owned Remington electric shavers made in USA (remember Victor Kiam who found them so good he bought the company). Unfortunately the Chinese Remington products are inferior. Compare this review with mine of the excellent Braun 7526 shaver I bought from [...] a few years ago to replace my last American made Remington XLR3000 when it finally gave out.

(More customer reviews)I have 3 of these razors! Why? I don't have the foggiest notion. All I know I've used one for over a year now and was changing the blade after 5 to 7 shaves. I used to be an electric user, but this one is 100% better. Just for a test, I put in a new blade on the first of April, 2007, and it was still shaving great on the 30th of April! I changed it anyway and will just use one blade per month. Others who buy and use this may have different results, but this is how it works for me. The handle is just right in the hand and feels like a "MAN"S" true razor. A good grip can be maintained even with wet hands. Shaving leaves the face feeling very smoothe. Not very much irritation if any for me. Blades change very easily and quickly. It's a great razor but hard to find in your local stores if at all. I'm sticking to this one and tossing my Gillette and Schick in the trash. After all, 5 blades is overshave anyway. I've not had a knick with this razor either. the blade is very sharp but I'm not going to press my luck and try to cut myself. The "G" and "S" blades don't last more than 5 shaves for me and then start to pull and irritate. I also have some of the disposables but they don't feel as good in the hand. They are great for travel, but I just pack one of my regular ones. They are good for showing someone how good they are as a "sample' I give them to someone who is tired of the "G" and "S" ones or a diehard electric user. Get yours today. :)

(More customer reviews)I've been epilating my underarms for about 6 years and just recently I braved it to do my legs. It's not that they hurt more or less, it's just that it takes long and my tolerance period runs out. My first epilator is also Braun and it works perfectly after many years.I bought the 7280 because I misplaced the old one, so now I use both simultaneously and I finish faster. The 7280 is really cool because you can take off the epilating head to wash. Also, it comes with a shaving head and a light which is very helpful to locate strays. As for tips, for your first time you should wax the area first....you don't want to try epilating old hair, the roots are a lot harder and can even draw blood dots. Start off on the strays that waxing leaves behind, believe me, this little gadget picks up the tiniest hairs so it will have PLENTY to pull. It will hurt but you can take it. Be comitted! As soon as new hair starts to poke, epilate it. Don't give the roots any time to harden. The more often you do it, the better! If you won't epilate often, you are just going to torture yourself, so save your money. My only gripe is that the new model has tweezers which are half plastic and half metal. My old one was all metal and I feel like it pulled more hair. On the other hand, because of the plastic clamps, the 7280 is a tad quieter.

So, I've been struggling with figure out a good shaving technique and I've bought into all kinds of systems of thoughts, using electric shavers in the pass, but without a real good results. I have very sensitive skin and it seems like redness, irritation, and problems was my destiny, but then I randomly searched for an electric shaver for sensitive skin. Now, this isn't even the model that I found. I found the jamesbond norelco that had sensitivity settings. Anyway, I talked to a friend about it, and he said he had been using norelco for years. For one reason or another, I just never gave them a try. Sam's Club Norelco budget shaver for 70 bucks with an extra head. I bought it. It said it might take 45 days to adjust to your skin. No irritation. Nothing. This is a budget model and it is excellent. Wow! I'm so happy. 3 days of shaving and I'm almost perfect. This model doesn't even have all the extra features or settings and truthfully, they aren't necessary. But, in the future, I will be purchasing one of the newer models just to see how their advancements in design have paid off. Why didn't I find this shaver 10 years ago? It cleans up easy and I am truly impressed considering this is a budget razor.

From the design perspective, the adjustable guides for clipping are terrible. You can either do very short or very long. Nothing in between.
From an execution perspective, the guide clips are VERY fragile and don't look they'd last very long. But I'll never know because this device worked exactly ONE TIME before it crapped out on me.
Spend your money on a different product, this one has NOTHING going for it.
